Writer Reflections

Life Lesson

I learned a valuable lesson about blogging these past few weeks. Always have something prepared for emergencies. Be it illness, spontaneous visitors, unexpected events, or any other inconveniences, having a few prewritten pieces can help immensely.

Of course, like many life lessons, this one took learning the hard way. Between the flu hitting my house, family coming to visit on a whim, and a niece’s birthday party, I didn’t have much time to write. I didn’t have time for anything.

That left me with nothing to post last week. And there’s nothing worse than missing a post due to being unprepared. Except perhaps missing two posts, which almost happened this week due to more family issues.

Don’t make the same mistake I did. You should either prepare several posts in advance or keep a few written pieces intended for use when time won’t permit anything else.

Until I post again, I’ll be working on a few ideas all at once this week for the next emergency non-writing week. I’m going to be super busy. Hopefully, my blog will be all the better for it.
